Andrew Knudsen

Andrew Knudsen is the co-owner and manager of Coventry Motors, a family-owned automotive repair facility in Huntington Station, New York that has been serving the community for more than two decades. Carrying forward the business his father started, Andrew combines strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and a deep commitment to the independent automotive industry.

Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Farmingdale State College and has spent more than a decade working in the automotive repair field as a technician and shop leader. Growing up around cars, his passion for the industry developed early and evolved into a career focused on mastering diagnostics, repair, and shop operations. His experience spans complex vehicle diagnostics, advanced repair procedures, team training, and developing operational systems that help shops run more efficiently.

At Coventry Motors, Andrew has focused heavily on building structured processes and training systems designed to improve technician performance, service advisor communication, and overall shop productivity. He has developed internal training modules, standard operating procedures, and service advisor communication frameworks that help teams build trust with customers while increasing efficiency and profitability.

Andrew is particularly passionate about education and professional development within the automotive industry. He regularly mentors technicians and service advisors, helping them build confidence, improve communication with clients, and develop the skills necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape. His training focuses on practical strategies that advisors and shop teams can implement immediately, including phone communication techniques, customer trust building, and systems that help shops convert opportunities into long-term client relationships.

As a shop owner, Andrew also brings a real-world business perspective to his training. He understands the challenges independent shops face — from technician development and workflow management to customer communication and financial performance — and he focuses on delivering actionable strategies that shop teams can apply immediately in their day-to-day operations.
