UAF Invites Industry to ‘Celebrate Mort’
Oct. 30, 2024
In celebration of Mort Schwartz, a UAF founder and industry icon, a special “Celebrate Mort” reception will be held at The Venetian Las Vegas on Nov. 2 to benefit the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF).
For his 90th birthday, Schwartz has one wish, to celebrate with his industry friends and help UAF provide scholarships and educational programs that ensure a bright future for the aftermarket, the organization said. Schwartz has served as a business leader in the automotive aftermarket for over 50 years. Throughout his career he has championed education as central to the success and continued growth of the aftermarket industry. A founder of the UAF, he has played a key role in fostering the knowledge, skills and professionalism of the industry’s workforce. The “Celebrate Mort” reception will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m.
“As a UAF Lifetime Trustee, Mort has led by example, giving back to the industry that he loves and has been so good to him and his family. We look forward to celebrating Mort and honoring his legacy of leadership,” said Roger McCollum, MAAP, chairman, University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “We invite everyone who is attending AWDA and AAPEX to join us to honor one of the titans of the auto care industry. Those who are not able to be in Las Vegas may still ‘Celebrate Mort’ with a donation in his honor.”
