Join AAPEX on the Road to Sustainability

We’re setting industry-wide sustainability in motion

AAPEX unites the entire automotive aftermarket supply chain, delivering unmatched access to the latest advancements, insights, and solutions you need to take on current and future industry challenges — including environmental impact.

With our community gathered under one roof, there’s no better opportunity to champion sustainability. The Auto Care Association and MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers are already working toward long-term objectives related to the event’s sustainability performance, addressing its most relevant environmental impacts. In 2023, AAPEX achieved a 65% waste diversion rate and offset 100% of shuttle emissions. This year, we aim to do even better.

CO-CREATING A SUSTAINABLE AAPEX 2024

Collaboration is crucial to sustainability success, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our community — including attendees, exhibitors, and partners like The Venetian Expo, Freeman, and other key vendors.

The Venetian Expo

The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas leads the hospitality industry in the movement to minimize its environmental impact. The LEED-certified property maintains one of the highest recycling rates in Nevada (73%), actively sorting trash to divert 27 types of items that would otherwise end up in landfills. The hotel sources 100% renewable electricity through Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), taking millions of kilowatt-hours “off the grid.” The Venetian was also one of the first facilities to achieve APEX/ASTM advanced (Level 2) Green Venue certification, named top hospitality company in Newsweek’s 2016 Green Rankings, and received a 100% score on the 2016 Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

AAPEX EXHIBITORS: TAKE THE SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE

Exhibitors that participated in the pledge launch told us it led to real behavior change on the floor. Of the 41 companies that took the pledge in 2023:

  • 74% used LED or compact fluorescent light bulbs in their booths.
  • 81% powered down all displays, monitors, and booth lighting nightly.
  • 60% used QR codes for marketing rather than printed materials.

Let’s keep the momentum going! Demonstrate your dedication to reducing the environmental impacts of the show and your brand. These are just a few of the exhibitors that have already pledged to reduce their environmental impact of the show:

  • Cloyes Product and Gears
  • Encore Automotive, Inc.
  • BEX International LLC
  • Credencys Solutions
  • Stryten Energy
  • ETE REMAN
