DAYCO Enhances AUTOPARTIQ INVENTORY TOOL

Thurs. Nov. 7, 2024

Dayco launched its AutoPartsIQ tool in 2023 to help retail, distributor and jobber customers improve inventory turns – ensuring the right part at the right place and right time. The system has been an ideal resource for annual reviews and quarterly assessments.

New features of AutoPartIQ include:

  1. A more user-friendly interface which offers customers quick visibility to current inventory, fast-moving sales opportunities and items near end of lifecycle, making it easier for them to determine the best way to drive sales;
  2. Final reports that give customers the opportunity to customize the results with their own market VIO and L12 sales;
  3. New product introductions added in real-time so report outs include the most up-to-date assessments and new stock recommendations; and
  4. The incorporation of jobber and WD net pricing, making it especially helpful for customers when determining the costs of potential new orders.

Once a customer’s data is entered, a computed report highlights quick movers and new stock opportunities, in turn, helping identify saleable, in-demand products in given markets which can be quickly added to inventory.

“Customers who have tapped into our AutoPartIQ tool are seeing great success,” said Tom Tecklenburg, vice president, aftermarket, Dayco North America. “We’re hearing that it’s a valuable resource for them. It was important to offer customers a system that is completely fact-based and uses real VIO data, along with the most up-to-date product sales information, to show them what they could be selling more of.”

AutoPartIQ is set up to assess Dayco’s entire light vehicle product portfolio in the U.S. and Canada against national, regional and hyper-targeted VIO data for all 211 designated market areas in the U.S. and 35 census metropolitan areas in Canada.

Customers simply provide their current Dayco inventory report, their min-max level and 12 months sales data to their Dayco sales representative. That information is entered into the AutoPartIQ database, and Dayco is able to run comprehensive, customizable reports that analyze specific product lines and part numbers against VIO in key markets.
