Catch up on The Road to AAPEX

Wednesday, October 26, 2022

The idea was simple. The journey was anything but….

Babcox Media’s Joe Keene, an ASE-certified technician, wanted to find a fun junker–like a Cadillac Brougham with more than 180,000 miles on the odometer–fix it up and drive it 2,500 miles from Akron, Ohio, to Las Vegas for AAPEX, the world’s biggest automotive aftermarket event. But the challenges started well before Joe pulled out of the garage to head toward Route 66 for his scenic drive to Vegas.

From installing the new aftermarket parts and some amazing bodywork from Ohio Technical College to meeting the unsung heroes of Route 66 and unplanned stops at independent repair facilities like D & A Auto Care in New Mexico, there was excitement around every bend in the road.

After five episodes, there’s just one more stop: AAPEX. But will Joe and the Caddy make it? For that answer, keep it tuned to the AAPEX blog and be sure to attend the AAPEX Reception held at 6 p.m. (Pacific) in the Venetian Expo Level 2 Lobby.

If you missed any episodes, now is the time to catch up.
