MOTOR Introduces Next Gen DaaS with Enhanced Performance and Expanded Data Connections

TROY, MI – November 3, 2026 – MOTOR Information Systems, a Hearst company and leading provider of automotive data solutions, today introduced Next Gen DaaS, an advancement to its Data-as-a-Service architecture that delivers faster responses while retrieving more information through fewer API calls. Additional sorting options and expanded bidirectional data relationships give technology providers greater flexibility in how they organize results and navigate related automotive information.

For businesses embedding MOTOR data into their software, the enhancements address a practical development need: retrieving the information required to support a customer’s next action. New sorting parameters offer more ways to order results for display, while expanded links between related data allow applications to connect information from more starting points.

Next Gen DaaS builds on MOTOR’s established automotive data services with improvements in three areas:

Enhanced performance: Faster responses and fewer API calls help applications retrieve relevant information more efficiently.

Additional sorting options: New parameters give technology providers more control over how data results are ordered for display in their applications.

Expanded bidirectional data relationships: Applications can follow links between related labor, parts and repair procedure information from more starting points, helping users find connected content without following a single lookup path.

Together, these enhancements help technology providers incorporate MOTOR information more efficiently into their products and expand the experiences they deliver to users.

“When a customer’s application needs automotive information, accessing the right data and connecting it to the next step in the workflow matter,” says Mark Hirn, Product Portfolio Manager. “Next Gen DaaS helps our technology partners retrieve the information they need more quickly and with fewer API calls, while giving them greater control over result ordering and more ways to navigate related content. That helps them build the tools their customers rely on every day.”
Building on MOTOR’s automotive data expertise

The architecture improvements extend MOTOR’s investment in delivering automotive intelligence directly into customer products and workflows. Next Gen DaaS strengthens how customers access that information while providing a foundation for continued expansion of MOTOR’s data services.

At AAPEX 2026, MOTOR will discuss the enhancements with technology providers and other data customers, including how the changes apply to their integration requirements and application needs.
