Schaeffler Showcasing Products, New Name at AAPEX

The Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket division is being represented for the first time under the new name of Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions (VLS) at AAPEX at booth A2232.
The name change comes on the heels of Schaeffler recently completing its merger with Vitesco Technologies. AAPEX will be the first automotive aftermarket industry event for the new organization. Schaeffler VLS said it will showcase its range of repair and service solutions for combustion engines, hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, under the motto “Sustaining Motion. Pioneering Future.”
Schaeffler said the new VLS division provides components and repair solutions for passenger cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles, and tractors. The company supports workshops on complex repair topics with an understanding of the mobility ecosystem, it said.
The new name highlights the company’s focus on creating value at various points in the mobility ecosystem, from service solutions across all powertrains to new digital technologies and business models.
“With our recent merger with Vitesco Technologies, Schaeffler is poised to launch more products that encompass a diverse spectrum of technologies, from internal combustion engines to battery electric vehicles. Our blended portfolio ensures that we can meet and exceed the demands of our customers, always providing them with reliable and efficient solutions tailored to their needs,” said Eric Steinbecher, president Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Americas.
Schaeffler said its booth will feature repair and spare part solutions across products, services, and future technologies. It is expanding its LuK TorCon torque converter product line for passenger cars and pickup trucks.
Following the merger with Vitesco Technologies, Schaeffler said it will introduce its expanded product portfolio in three categories: e-water pumps, transmission control units and modules, and Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) sensors. The new NOx sensors, which help meet emission standards, is being showcased at AAPEX.
Schaeffler added it will also present innovations for next-generation transmission technologies, including the Modular Hybrid Transmission (MHT) unit for original equipment applications. On the engine side, Schaeffler said it will showcase valvetrain technologies and an expanded portfolio of timing kits, front-end auxiliary drive kits, and thermal management modules.
The company will also present advanced chassis mechatronics, featuring integrated components that improve performance and modularity, including the rear wheel steer and force feedback actuator.
Schaeffler is also introducing an interactive driving simulator, allowing visitors to experience how the Force Feedback Actuator, a steer-by-wire solution, adapts to driving styles and preferences.
Schaeffler’s RepXpert online platform is a resource for mechanics seeking information on products, repairs,and maintenance, according to the company. Training sessions on timing chain installation and troubleshooting for the GM high-feature 3.6L V6 engine will be offered at the Schaeffler booth and available on-demand on the RepXpert platform.
