MOTOR Unveils Redesigned Insights Navigator and Previews Expanded Data Access at AAPEX 2026
TROY, MI – November 2, 2026 – MOTOR Information Systems, a Hearst company and leading provider of automotive data solutions, today introduced a redesigned Insights Navigator experience to help automotive aftermarket businesses analyze parts demand, pricing and repair activity more easily. MOTOR also previewed a 2027 roadmap that would expand the detail available in its licensed market intelligence data and give customers new ways to use that data within their own cloud environments.
MOTOR will demonstrate the latest Insights Navigator experience at booth V846 during AAPEX 2026, November 3 – 5 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
Insights Navigator turns verified service events into interactive views of aftermarket activity. Parts manufacturers, suppliers and category teams can use those views to examine demand across markets, compare pricing and category performance and identify opportunities to guide inventory and portfolio decisions.
“Our customers need to understand where demand is changing and what that means for their business,” says Nathan Stouffer, Product Portfolio Manager. “The redesigned Navigator makes it easier to explore those questions. Our next step is to give customers more detail and more flexibility in how they work with MOTOR intelligence.”
A simpler way to explore aftermarket activity
The redesigned experience helps users get started, organize the information most relevant to their work and compare results across time periods and geographies. It brings together:
A streamlined starting experience that helps users move into their first analysis.
Interactive maps, timelines, charts and detailed data views for exploring market and category trends.
Configurable dashboards that let users arrange measures and visualizations around their business questions.
Improved calendar and map interactions for comparing reporting periods and territories.
The redesigned experience is available to current Insights Navigator customers.
More detail and flexibility planned for 2027
MOTOR’s 2027 roadmap builds on the Navigator experience with planned enhancements to the underlying market intelligence data and its delivery. The direction includes access to licensed MOTOR data within supported customer cloud data platforms, helping teams use that intelligence alongside their own business data.
Planned enhancements also include deeper geographic and part detail, more consistent brand and category classifications, and prepared analytics tables for common market questions. Together, these changes are intended to reduce the work customers spend preparing and connecting data before analysis.
MOTOR is also evaluating natural-language exploration and API access as future capabilities. Scope and availability will be confirmed as development progresses.
