This course provides a practical introduction to the communication networks used throughout Tesla vehicles. Students will learn how Tesla systems use CAN and Automotive Ethernet to connect modules, sensors, and control units across the vehicle. The training explains network architecture, message flow, and how different systems communicate to support vehicle operation, diagnostics, and advanced features.

Through hands-on testing and real-world demonstrations, participants will work directly with diagnostic tools to observe network traffic, identify modules on the network, and understand how faults affect vehicle communication. By the end of the class, technicians will have a stronger understanding of Tesla’s network structure and the skills needed to analyze, test, and troubleshoot vehicle communication systems in a shop environment.
