Market Capitalization of the Big 4 Auto Parts Retailers Grew 42% over the last decade

July 8, 2025

LAS VEGAS – July 8, 2025 – New car sales get much of the attention, but the automotive aftermarket has a bigger impact on consumers

Simeon Gutman, an analyst for Morgan Stanley, illustrated this in an analysis of the market capitalization of the “Big 4” automotive aftermarket parts retailers at the MEMA Aftermarket Vision Conference last March.

According to his data, the combined market capitalization of O’Reilly Automotive (NASDAQ: ORLY), AutoZone (NYSE: AZO), Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC) and Advanced Auto Parts (NYSE: AP) was $67.5 billion in 2015.

A decade later, in 2025, the aggregate value reached $159.3 billion – a 42% increase.
