EnerSys to Unveil Latest Battery Solutions at AAPEX 2023
EnerSys announced it will unveil its latest ODYSSEY battery solutions at the 2023 AAPEX show in Las Vegas. The AAPEX ODYSSEY battery booth (A1838) is slated to feature the company’s debut line of ODYSSEY battery chargers, which are designed to efficiently charge a variety of ODYSSEY battery models, as well as other quality brands of 12-volt AGM flooded lead acid and lithium batteries. Engineered with built-in temperature controls and a battery status indicator, ODYSSEY battery chargers offer high quality performance and speed whether you need a charger for your car, powersports vehicle or busy professional autobody workshop.
Also on display will be the company’s first-ever Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) power solution for automotive auxiliary applications–the ODYSSEY ODS-AGM14 battery. Engineered with a vent port that’s designed to fit factory specifications for the vehicle’s existing vent system, ODYSSEY ODS-AGM14 batteries provide long-lasting power for automotive auxiliary applications that are compatible with several popular vehicle manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep. As a result of the battery’s TPPL design, these cars can run anything from lighting and navigation to the latest state-of-the-art stereo systems without running the vehicle’s motor, the company noted.
ODYSSEY batteries provide ample deep cycling reserve power, with engine cranking pulses up to 3,125 amps for five seconds, which is double that of equally sized conventional lead acid batteries, according to the company. The battery’s AGM construction helps pack the plates tightly in absorbent fiberglass separators that hold the electrolyte and makes the battery maintenance-free. Backed by an industry-leading warranty, ODYSSEY batteries feature a two-year storage life at 77°F (25°C) and are available in a wide variety of sizes with Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) as high as 2,250.
“We’ve got a great lineup of new products and celebrity appearances in store for this year’s AAPEX and we can’t wait for the opportunity to unveil our latest solutions to an audience of the industry’s finest aftermarket and automotive enthusiasts,” said Dave McMullen, senior director of global marketing, transportation and specialty at EnerSys. “AAPEX and SEMA are the future of transportation and where automotive excellence takes shape. It’s a privilege to be a part of all the excitement brought on by these popular annual gatherings.”
