Schaeffler Announces Expanded Aftermarket Portfolio

Schaeffler’s Vehicle Lifetime Solutions (VLS) division is presenting its latest vehicle repair and service advancements at AAPEX 2025 at Booth #A2638.

Integration Strengthens Schaeffler’s Ecosystem at AAPEX 2025

After merging with Vitesco Technologies, Schaeffler integrated the strengths of both organizations to enhance its ecosystem approach. The company expanded its VLS aftermarket product portfolio to include e-water pumps, transmission control units and nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensors. This expansion supports internal combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.

Theme Focuses on Motion and Future Innovation

Under the theme “Sustaining Motion. Pioneering Future,” Schaeffler’s VLS division offers high-turnover, market-relevant products and customer-focused services, the company said. Digital platforms, including REPXPERT, provide repair shops, distributors and fleet operators with instructional videos, product catalogs and diagnostic tools. The recent integration with Vitesco Technologies enhanced Schaeffler’s expertise in electrification and thermal management.

Expanded Product Portfolio Supports Diverse Powertrains

The VLS division expanded its lineup with INA timing chain kits, timing belt kits, accessory drive kits, thermal management modules and variable valve timing (VVT) components. These developments improve reliability and efficiency across different powertrains.

Schaeffler Features LuK Torque Converters and Bearing Systems

At AAPEX, Schaeffler features its LuK brand torque converters, known for durability and reliability. The company has manufactured more than 63 million units, primarily at its Wooster, Ohio plant. The Bearings & Seals portfolio includes TriFinity triple-row wheel bearings, iARC (Intelligent Active Roll Control) and RWS (Rear Wheel Steering) systems.

Collaboration with Vitesco Expands Electronic Solutions

Schaeffler’s partnership with Vitesco Technologies expanded its electronic product range for multiple vehicle types. The collaboration added NOx sensors, transmission control units (TCUs) and mass air flow (MAF) sensors to its lineup.

Electrification Products Drive Efficiency and Range

The company also showcases its e-powertrain solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles. Products include e-water pumps, the Schaeffler eAxle, and advanced electric motors that improve efficiency and battery range.

Investments Strengthen Schaeffler’s North and South American Presence

Schaeffler said it plans to grow its presence in the Americas through investments in facilities, R&D and workforce expansion. The company operates 19 plants and nine R&D centers in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Brazil and South America, employing approximately 18,200 people.

Key investments include a $230 million electric axle facility in Dover, Ohio, a Central Logistics Center in Porto Feliz, Brazil, and the Huejotzingo Innovation Center in Puebla, Mexico, focusing on e-mobility R&D.
