Keynote & Government Advocacy Sessions

The Virtual AAPEX Experience’s Keynote Session will present the state of the aftermarket while exploring the possibilities of the future. Day 2’s Government Advocacy Town Hall will take a deeper dive into legislative issues and what election outcomes mean for our businesses and industry. Two renowned industry leaders will join forces over two days, reveal coveted insights, recognize industry accomplishments, and highlight opportunities for positive change.

Meet the Keynote Speakers

Bill Hanvey is president and CEO of the Auto Care Association, which represents the entire supply chain of the automotive aftermarket: manufacturers, distributors, retailers and shops. Bill has spent his entire 35+ year career in the aftermarket, previously serving as senior vice president of at AASA and in sales and marketing leadership roles at Tenneco, FleetPride, Dorman and Schaeffler.

Paul T. McCarthy is president of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), which connects suppliers of aftermarket parts, chemicals, tools, diagnostics, and technologies to industry analysis, peer forums, customer and technology trends, global insights, and government advocacy. Paul has over a quarter century of experience in the automotive industry, with prior experience as MEMA senior vice president and leader of the Automotive and Industrial Products Strategy Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

DAY 1: Tuesday, November 3 at 12 pm EST

On the first day during the Keynote Session, you’ll hear from high-level executives in “What to Expect on the Road Ahead,” a roundtable discussion that will explore the future of auto care. Other top issues of discussion include the effect of COVID-19 on current and future business and much more. Panelists include:

During Wednesday’s Government Advocacy Town Hall, the conversation will continue with not one, but two roundtable discussions. The first will cover the previous day’s groundbreaking Massachusetts vote on Right to Repair. Panelists include:
