Rich Jolivet, Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing and Product Management said “Changing our name helped broaden our appeal while also reflecting the breadth and diversity of product available to our customers. Our Global Sales Division could now provide their customers with parts for all makes and models, without losing our import heritage, our import niche”. Jolivet goes on to explain that AI sells to shops along the Eastern Seaboard from its 185 store locations, but also sells outside that region through the company’s Global Sales Division. This division specializes in selling to WDs and Jobbers in the remainder of the 50 states, as well as Canada and South American countries. Thanks to the growing popularity of the Autopart International product, they have been an active participant in the Latin Automotive Parts Expo for the last three years.
Jolivet notes that 70% to 80% of Autopart International products sold are private label and are sourced from design and contract manufacturers of premium products. “We are also known as the undercar specialist expert to our customer, in addition to our import emphasis. We are OE quality or better. We provide product that is different from the others you might find in a retail store to provide something special to our customers, so that they can do the same for theirs” said Jolivet.

Their goal is to work with our customer not just in fulfilling orders, but in getting to understand their business and provide them with the best part solutions for their needs.” said Jolivet.
As the technology of vehicles continues to expand, Autopart International continues to refine our product offerings into other areas; CV Axles, Catalytic Converters, Engine Management. This year the company launched a new economy line of brake pads – OEF3 – these pads have OE friction material, design, and come with a 30,000 mile warranty.
Autopart International’s suppliers are also socially responsible. Manufacturers are TS16949 certified. They undergo and pass rigorous third-party social accountability audits annually. C-TPAT is a voluntary program AI is working with to become certified in to protect our global supply chain and protect our ports from potential terrorist activities. Green certification (ISO 14001) in progress – ISO14001 is a certification that AI is working with its suppliers to obtain. Essentially this certification indicates the company manages short and long-term environmental impacts of manufacturing.
